We run a thriving boatyard situated by bridge 182A on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal, about a mile south of Skipton.
We have 2 dry docks available; a fully covered beam dry dock where each of our hire boats has its annual inspection and re-paint, and our FULLY ENCLOSED WIDE BEAM dry dock. Available for self-hire by private owners or book your requirements for our inhouse engineer to carry out your needs.
Our dry docks are usually very busy with our own staff carry out a wide variety of work on private boats. The docks can also be hired by the day by boat owners wanting to do their own work. Please contact us for availability and charges.
With years of experience we are able and willing to give you advice on most narrowboat systems. Our boatyard has moorings for 40 narrowboats in a secure setting.
The moorings are serviced with water and electrical hook ups, elsan & rubbish disposal.
Car parking is available in locked onsite car parks. Diesel, gas (Calor) and pump out are generally available 5 days a week during normal office hours April to October and during the winter months, November to March, Monday to Friday..
Because of our highly skilled and dedicated workforce, we are able to carry out most aspect of canal boat work onsite and we specialise in areas such as bottom blacking, engine and gearbox repairs or replacements, servicing, welding, electrical work, stern gear maintenance or refits, carpentry work, bottom blacking and much more, all of our work is guaranteed and finished to the highest of standards.
